So its not that cold but for me its freezing. The high today was 21C = 69F, the low, 12C = 53F. It wasn't too bad today. I actually took my sweater off a few times and outside was nice if I stood in the sun. The shade was fine too but the sun was hot. The last few days were much colder and standing in the sun helped only a little.
The nights are cold too and my flat is especially cold. I have all tile floors and no carpets anywhere. There is no insulation so its just like a cooler. I shut all the windows at night so I can come out of my room and not freeze in the morning. Infact, I've made a few habits to keep me warm and like an addict (to heat) I invest my self in these silly practices.
I've come to fill plastic water bottles (which shrink if the water is too hot) with hot water and sticking them under my blankets. Also in the morning I get up and put on tights and an undershirt and get fully dressed before I step out of my room to brush my teeth. And lastly, I have a mug of tea to drink on the bus.
The bus is even cold because some people leave the windows open. I guess they are hot.
The really crazy thing is that I'm going to Sweden for Christmas, and I think this is cold. I'm gonna go visit Veronika for a week and a half and she said its so cold they might have snow fall where she is. It should be ok as I've asked her if she can mooch some sweaters for me to use so I don't die. hahaha
I'm excited to see her and this cold weather is making me homesick for Hawaii. It will be good to get out of Egypt for a bit and distract myself with some new sights. Plus by the time I get back I'll think Egypt is warm. :D
