Dodgy Simsar - AVOID

I am subscribed to an American college email listing here in Egypt. Its for foreign students studying here. From this listing I receive emails about traveling, places for rent, places to go out and up coming events, etc, etc.

This is an email posting I came across that I thought was super funny. It is not typical, but honestly, Egyptian men asking women if they are interested in marrying them after a few minutes is not a stretch by any means.

Don't ask me what a Simsar is, I don't know. I am guessing its a realtor of some kind. The postings are in chronological order.

Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,

The simsar you recommended showed my flatmate a few flats and then took her to what she thought was another flat, but was in fact his mother's house, where she was quizzed by his mother and then he proceeded to ask her to marry him . I hardly need to say how uncomfortable this made her and how inappropriate this is, and what a poor recommendation it was from you to say that he is a nice person.

I've CC-d the list so everyone else can avoid him too.
