Before I left for Israel I knew I was coming back to Cairo for a good number of months to continue with my language studies. So I needed to get a few visa details taken care of. It was a snap and I was able to get it done quick and easy. It was a real blessing.
I now have a one year tourist visa and can come and go in and out of Egypt in that time. I dont know if I will be here for a year but for sure til summer.
The thing about being here is that Egypt is dirty. It is dusty, and dry and there is trash all over the place. It is challenging and I want to see it made nice, but its everywhere its not just in an area that can be fixed. So there are places that I try to escape to to keep my mind calm and help me cope with the contrast outside.
The other thing that throws me off is the weekly schedule. The week runs from Sunday to Thursday. The weekend is Friday and Saturday and back to work on Sunday. I get totally confused when I try to make plans.
