Two of the girls I'm staying with are teachers. Nichole teaches fourth grade and her class was studying weather patterns. One of the kids was tracking the weather in Honolulu, so I was super stoked to go to her class and talk about the weather in Hawaii. It was great. I had pictures and everything and they were super fun. They had great questions and of course they all want to go to Hawaii. Ha ha.

Another day two of the guys and I went to check out the Citadel. It is an area that is walled off and inside are mosques and a palace. The palace is mostly being renovated but one of the mosques there was amazing. It is the mosque of
Mohammed Ali, I am not talking of the boxer, but of a Governor of Egypt. He basically defended Egypt against Napoleon and then took the position of power.

Another day, I went with one of the other girls, Elin, to the "market" area. Its basically a neighborhood with a bunch of stores. This is not a rich area, its crazy dirty and poor. But it was fun to walk through and check out their market.

They sell ducks, rabbits, chickens and all kinds of stuff live. You pick it out and they kill it and clean it for ya right there. Its real nice, if you like that kinda thing.

This little girl in blue, chased us down and told us her mother wanted us. So we went and she wanted me to take a picture of her. So I did. They were super cute. The vegetable in the bottom right corner is taro and I was suprised to see it here. I even saw and ilima flower bush on the side of the road. It makes home not seem so far away. Kinda weird.

I didnt buy any meat or pigs feet but Elin did buy some apples and stuff. Before I headed off to my arabic class.

I miss you!
Little did that lady know you would take a pic of her and cause your friends to pray for them to know our "friend".
That's what I am doing right now:)
