This past weekend I went to the Red Sea with some friends. They were mostly diving but I needed to get to the sea desperately. It was nice the first day, though cool. I actually snorkled in a wetsuit.

But the second day was windy, windy, windy! I didn't mind, I enjoyed the sun and watching the wind on the water. It was a beautiful day. Here is a map of where we went over the two days. It was nice to sleep at sea too. I was rocking the whole day after we got back to Cairo. It was so nice. :)
The sea is my therapy and I am amazed its been over 6 months since I was near the water. Back home, on my island, I would have a cow if I wasn't on the water for even a little bit. Its truely God's grace that I can get through.
My roomate and I recently moved across the hall to a slightly bigger flat. Its been really nice here in this apartment and its even a little quieter. However, my roomate is leaving next week to go back to China. I'll be without a roomate for about half a month. Then a friend is going to move in near the end of April. Its kinda perfect because Veronika, from Sweden, is going to come down at the beginning of April for a visit. I cant wait. We are gonna go to Dahab and site see around Cairo. Its gonna be FUN!
I am still working at the school and thinking I want to work for an NGO or some kind of community organization. Most of the positions are coordinators or officers. I am going to apply but I am so informal and to get some of these job you need to be formal. I really feel like this is something I need to do and to work in this area. If I dont find anything or secure anything I'll stay at the school. It is a good job.
My Arabic is coming along slowly. I been studying on my own because the school I was at still doesnt have a class for my level. Honestly Im sure I forgotten everything they taught me anyway. So just studying with flash cards. Im trying to learn French as well, and that will take me forever on my own. I do study online with livemocha.com and I heard frenchwithalexa.com is good too. My weekend at the Red Sea was with a majority of French so that helped. I know basic words like: what? why? lets go! and of course the common cuss words that are used frequently.
I been trying to fast a lot more also. Just really want to press into whatever God has. Its been challenging but good. I feel like I need to deeper and can't live the daily routine of work and socializing anymore ... there has to be more. Not that my life is only that but I want a lot more of him and less of me. We'll see what happens.
